1. Overview
Housemind uses Paddle as our payment processor and Merchant of Record. All purchases are subject to Paddle's terms and conditions. This policy outlines the refund process in accordance with Paddle's standard terms.
2. Consumer Right to Cancel (14 Days)
If you are a Consumer, you have the right to cancel your order and request a refund within 14 days without giving any reason, in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.
The cancellation period expires 14 days from the day after you complete your purchase.
To exercise your right to cancel:
- You must inform us of your decision to cancel within the 14-day period

- We will acknowledge receipt of your cancellation request
- Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice
- Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the original purchase
2.1 Exception to the Right to Cancel
Your right to cancel does not apply to digital content that you have started to download, stream, or otherwise acquire. For Housemind, this means that once you have completed the initial setup and connected your smart home system (Loxone), you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal as you have begun using the digital service.
For subscription services, your right to cancel is only present following the initial subscription and not upon each automatic renewal.
3. Refund Policy Beyond 14 Days
Refunds beyond the 14-day cancellation period are provided at the sole discretion of Paddle on a case-by-case basis and may be refused. Paddle will refuse a refund request if evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or other manipulative behavior is found.
This does not affect your rights as a Consumer in relation to products which are not as described, faulty, or not fit for purpose.
4. Subscriptions
Housemind offers paid subscriptions that automatically renew until cancelled:
- You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting us at [email protected]
- Please cancel at least 48 hours before the end of your current billing period
- Cancellations take effect at the next payment date
- You will retain access to the Service until the end of your current paid period
- There are no refunds on unused subscription periods
5. Sales Tax Refunds
If you were charged sales tax (VAT, GST, etc.) and are registered for sales tax in your country, you may be entitled to a refund of the sales tax amount if permitted by local laws.
To request a sales tax refund:
- Contact us at [email protected] within 60 days of your purchase
- Provide a valid sales tax registration number for your country
- We will coordinate with Paddle to process your sales tax refund
- Requests received after 60 days will not be processed
